A comprehensive step-by-step breakdown of the sacred Hajj journey.
Day of Tarwiyah - Movement to Mina
Pilgrims enter the state of Ihram, declare their intention for Hajj, and travel to the tent city of Mina. The day is spent in prayer, reflection, and preparation for the days ahead.
Day of Arafah & Muzdalifah
The most important day of Hajj. Pilgrims travel to the plains of Arafah for intense prayer and supplication. After sunset, they move to Muzdalifah to spend the night under the stars and collect pebbles for the stoning ritual.
Eid al-Adha & Yawm al-Nahr
Pilgrims return to Mina to perform the first stoning at Jamarat al-Aqabah. This is followed by the animal sacrifice (Qurbani), shaving or trimming of hair (Halq/Taqsir), and proceeding to Makkah for Tawaf al-Ifadah.
Days of Tashreeq
Pilgrims stay in Mina and perform the stoning of all three Jamarat (pillars) on each day. These days are meant for continued remembrance of Allah and spiritual bonding with fellow pilgrims.
Farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wida)
Before departing Makkah, pilgrims perform the Farewell Tawaf around the Kaaba, marking the completion of their Hajj journey before returning home or traveling to Madinah.
